Stories Beyond Borders

Allproken Film Studio is a dynamic African film and media company with global storytelling ambitions, dedicated to creating powerful, culturally rich, and visually compelling stories for audiences around the world. Built on a legacy of over a decade of filmmaking excellence, the studio stands at the forefront of a new generation of African storytellers redefining cinema, television, and animation.

Founded by filmmaker Denis Dhikusooka Jr., Allproken Film Studio emerged from the evolution of the acclaimed production company Pearl Wonders Entertainment, which began in 2009 as a university-based stage drama club at Makerere University. What started as a small collective of passionate young creatives performing comedy skits quickly transformed into a serious filmmaking movement that would shape a new era of Ugandan cinema.

In 2011, the team produced its first short film, Chocolate, marking a turning point in their journey into filmmaking. This momentum led to the production of their first feature film, Trespass, released in 2012, signaling the arrival of bold new voices in East African storytelling. Over the years, the company grew into one of the region’s most respected production houses, known for its creative excellence, technical innovation, and culturally resonant narratives.

Today, under its new identity as Allproken Film Studio — A Film & Media Company, the studio operates as a creative ecosystem that develops and produces feature films, television series, animation, and commercial content while nurturing emerging talent and advancing African storytelling on a global stage.
